As local small business owners, there has never been a better time to market your business!
Why do I say this? Because of perspective…
If you’ve been in business for longer than 20 years, you remember the time when almost EVERY marketing option came with a cost… A LARGE cost!
Broadcast Media was king and it was expensive. Television and Radio were at the top of the preferred list. Print and even Direct Mail weren’t far behind.
Today in the Internet world, marketing has become a mostly “Self Serve” Industry.
How so? Because it’s all available to “Do It Yourself”! Think about it. There is a website, support group or app that allows you, the business owner, to create content (marketing) to reach your customer and it’s all FREE!
Or is it? Sure, you may be able to create your own video, website, photos or flyer but that doesn’t mean that it will be effective! Not to mention it also may not be the best use of your time.
To make it even more confusing, Social Media can muddy your marketing waters QUICK! What’s that? You don’t have time to post and follow and like? You don’t have time NOT TOO!
Relying on all these free social platforms can be tempting but it’s like building a house on land you don’t own. Not a smart business plan. So it can be a catch 22.
You need someone who understands what content is, how to create it, and then what to do with it.
